Twin Love

The twin bond is an amazing thing.  The fact that these two have had each other from the very first moment inside the womb, that they have somebody to play with every single day, that they are never alone, that they understand each other better than anyone else ever will...

From the very beginning, they always seemed to reach for each other and needed to touch when they were close.  They were holding hands before they even knew what that meant.  There were so many moments during their first year that they seemed to always reach for each other's hand.

Kangaroo time with Daddy in the NICU.

Then there's the moments when they put their arms on or around each other's shoulders...

How sweet is this???

Or when they lay down together and just cuddle....

Snuggling together on their one month birthday.

Watching tv together.

And my VERY favorite is when they hug and give each other kisses without even being prompted to do so, which has been happening a lot lately.  When I see this, it melts me into a big giant pile of mush.

This happened just today!

Of course we have moments like this sometimes too...

But we pretty much feel like we hit the jackpot by having twins.  We had prayed for even just one, but we got lucky and had two.  When I watch them together, I am so extremely thankful for not only us, that we get to have them in our lives, but that they have each other.  I hope that they will always be able to consider each other best friends.

  8. I just found your blog through Julia's link-up and I'm sure you'll be happier to hear that I'm an OLDER lady with TWO babies! I had my twins at 42 after 3 1/2 years of trying via IVF. My kiddos turn 9 months tomorrow (what?!) and I love this post! They are the best of friends and I can only hope it (mostly) stays that way! Good to "meet" you!

  10. Your blog is just amazing! I really enjoyed it. Thank you for inspiration! I am happy to share my experience. I contacted Ukrainian clinic BioTexCom after having negative experiences from a center in the UK. The UK center was negative because of my age at 46. I decided to look elsewhere. I contacted various IVF clinics throughout Europe. I was apprehensive about the language barrier and the clinic helping to create a wonderful baby. I contacted the coordinator at BioTexCom who was immediately receptive, very professional and answered all my questions and concerns. They were very clear from the beginning about what the treatment would entail including precise costs and timings which were important to us. We opted for a donor whom this clinic carefully matched to me in physical appearance such as height, eye and hair color and interests.

The process was very simple and flights were booked easily to Kiev. The housing which was given by BioTexCom was fantastic. The clinic was immaculate and the manager I encountered spoke excellent English and was extremely professional and put us at ease. The treatment was very straightforward. We were kept up to date at every step and there was no anxiety or stress. We are delighted with not one but twin gorgeous babies who fit in perfectly in appearance to our other children. I could not praise this clinic and their staff enough as they were all truly amazing and so understanding and supportive. I’m so grateful to them for helping us create truly wonderful babies and making our family complete!
