Boy do I have a lot to write about! Unfortunately, I have virtually no time. So I am mostly just going to share a bunch of pictures. I hope to eventually have time to sit down and actually tell you the full story.
On December 23rd, at 33 weeks 2 days, our little babies were born. It wasn't that they decided to come early, other than Baby A's water breaking. Unfortunately it was my own body that decided it wasn't going to wait any longer. Preeclampsia....
Introducing
Baby A: Rylee Viola at 4 lbs 10 oz, 16 1/2 inches, born 12/23/13 at 8:27pm
Baby B: Ayden James at 5 lbs 4 oz, 18 3/4 inches, born 12/23/13 at 8:28pm
|
They wheeled my hospital bed into the NICU so I could see my babies briefly the next day after birth. |

ReplyDeleteYeah!! As a Christmas Eve baby myself, you are going to have crazy busy Decembers! They are beautiful and I am so happy for you. Turn around twice and they will be asking for the keys to the car (my daughter turned 16 in July). Enjoy them and don't forget to take care of you!

ReplyDeleteI was wondering how you were doing. Congrats!!! So precious! I especially like your daughter's name ;)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear the details. Sorry the preeclamspia got you but it looks like they are doing great. I don't see any oxygen or breathing tubes. Great weights! Good job cooking them, mama. Mine were 4lb8oz and 4lb7oz and all the nurses marveled at how good their weight was. So very impressive :) Funny how similar we ended up in delivery - I was 33 weeks 3 days at 8:34 and 8:35 pm. Hope your recovering well.
Oh my goodness I wondered when we would be seeing this post! I love both of their names and they are absolutely precious. I hope everyone is continuing to do well and I can't wait for an update!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! OHHHHHHH, was the first thing out of my mouth when I saw you had posted something. Almost jumped out of my seat, I was so excited!! Not much posted but OH, LOVE the pictures!!!! How precious are all of you and how much fun scrapbooking you will have when you find the time some day!!!! This Auntie just can't stop smiling over every little gorgeous, precious picture. Although pictures of babies crying makes me want to cry! Still precious though and Ayden looks like he is so concerned over his sis crying too! Love, hugs and prayers! Auntie

ReplyDeleteHi here from LFCA to say congratulations on your beautiful twins! I hope you get some time to write the birth story before too long but if you don't, those pictures are just great placemarkers! Enjoy your lovely babies!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your perfect babies. They are so precious. I hope you are all doing well. I look forward to the birth story. Take care of yourself and your new bundles of joy.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!!! Again, congratulations! They are just beautiful babies.
ReplyDeleteCongrats girl!! I hope you are all doing well. I can only imagine how crazy things are right now. I'm sure you were very scared with having to deliver at 33 weeks. They are beautiful. Congrats again
ReplyDeleteOK, its time for an update! We need an update! Even a "Im OK and the babies are OK" update will suffice!
ReplyDeleteI'm okay and the babies are okay! They still have about a week left in the NICU. I haven't really left the hospital since I was admitted, and I don't have a computer here so can't update with a post. Also, I have virtually no time. I promise I will be back more when the babies get discharged!
DeleteCongratulations! You all look amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh, Amber!! So very many congratulations to you and your family of FOUR - and welcome to the world, sweet little babies. Your pictures are absolutely beautiful, and I'm so thrilled for you. Glad too to read your little update above that all is going well and looking forward to hearing more news once the babies are discharged. Give them a kiss from me! Couldn't be happier for you, m'dear.
ReplyDeleteI'm so late to this, but congratulations!!!! Such wonderful news!!! I hope all four of you are doing great.
