Holy Boob Itch!

One of the first pregnancy symptoms that we look (or feel) for is sore boobs.  Well, I didn't get sore boobs at first.  At all.  Not even a smidgen.  I didn't get sore boobs for really much of the first 10 weeks or so.

And then my nipples started to be at a constant state of attention.  And holy smokes, now my boobs just seem to be in a constant state of ITCHING!

I have always been prone to itching.  Before pregnancy, my belly always seemed to itch.  A few times it was actually explainable because it also came with a crazy rash.  That doesn't explain the rest of the times though.  Honestly, I think it's usually when I have put on a few pounds here and there and it was probably changes in my skin because of that.  I'm just guessing about that though.  The doctor could never explain it to me.  I've always had weird skin, prone to rashes, hives, dry skin...

And now my boobs itch.  A LOT!  I am a little scared for what the next few months will bring as my belly and my boobs get bigger.  Will I be able to stand even being in my own skin?  We will see....

  2. I'm sorry, but I have to laugh as well. I've heard good things about women using coconut oil on their stomachs to calm the itch and try to prevent stretch marks.

  3. Yikes! I hope you can find something to put on those ladies and calm down the itching some.

  4. I have had a belly itch for about a month now and I found a Vaseline Cocoa Radiant body lotion that has been FANTASTIC. I would highly recommend it.

  5. Ha! That doesn't sound fun, but I guess I'd pick itchy boobs over painful ones. :)

  7. Sounds super irritating...perhaps there's a cream or salve or something out there? You can't be the first preggo to go through this.

  8. I'm 12w2d and Coconut Oil has been a life saver. I heard it helps with stretch marks too. It is very soothing and like you I have extremely ichy boobs! Best of luck!

  9. I also tend to be fairly itchy in normal life. I have never really figured out why and I hate it. Sometime now my belly gets super itchy, mostly when it's going through a growth spurt. The skin also feels super tight like there is no way it can possibly stretch any further without just splitting. It's weird. I use cocoa butter and bio-oil and it seems to help. Then it just mellows out for a bit. I have had some nipple itch as well. It can be really awkward in public :) The body really does some weird stuff when pregnant.

  10. Ha! I had totally forgotten about that symptom! I suppose it's not too bad compared to some of the others, but it drove me CRAZY!
